PAPERWHITE NARCISSUS
You could make a persuasive (but cold-hearted) argument that in summer the smell of paperwhites is a little cloying. Hell, you could argue that a photo of paperwhites in summer is a little cloying. But not now, no way. Force a few bulbs to bloom indoors in the dead cold of January and things seem a lot less bleak. Pure sweetness.
