REGULAR OR GOOFY?

REGULAR OR GOOFY?
This dapper-hipster of a Tillman rolled through town recently with his father Mason from D.C. The lad offered "Skate" as his name in a classically Tillman nonsense reply to a perfectly civilized question. Father and son were here in town supporting Kim Beazley's visit—he's the Australian Ambassador to the U.S., as if you didn't already know. Of course Beazley was here celebrating the Denver Bulldogs (7-time US Aussie Rules Football League champs!) and competing in the Greeley Boomerang Festival. The D.C. Tillman's "support" amounted to little more than drinking, avoiding all responsibility, and hitting the skatepark. Good, golden people nonetheless. An animation of "Skate" (please!) at the park, riding both goofy and regular in a fresh mirrored view.

HORSEHEAD GAMES

HORSEHEAD GAMES
For those very few of you who've noticed: yes, we have been taking a break from the blog this summer, thank you very much. Word on the street (we're the ones who put it there) has us wickedly busy with actual work. Nonsense, all a ruse. We've been busy with the Tillmans, guinea pigs as they develop a series of "sports" for the upcoming Horsehead games, which they claim to be preparing for a pitch to the Versus network. Sort of an urban hillbilly version of the Highland games. More to come (the video of this event—Beam and High Tube—looks ridiculously painful, but it really wasn't that bad; as soon as the Tillmans give us the A.O.K we'll throw it up on Vimeo).

SUMMER WITH THE TILLMANS: CAMP TILLMAN, PART 4

SUMMER WITH THE TILLMANS: CAMP TILLMAN, PART 4
Again from the Horsehead Crating Company compound down the street, this time a testament to the complex spirituality of the global Tillman clan (they started out Catholic but have headed East and West from there). We're sure the headlessness of the headless Mary in the bird bath has no special significance (we're told it was there, as is, when they took over the property decades ago). And the spirit house? Given the freeloading nature of many of the live Tillmans we know, that place is bound to be overflowing with their dead relatives. Poolside at Camp Tillman is irresistible to those above ground and to the spirits of those below, we're confident of that.
