In case you're wondering, here's what you want out of a bed frame.
Oh, were you looking for a list of adjectives instead of just the smug implication that the Surfboy bed is the ne plus ultra (that's smug-speak for A number 1, king of the hill, top of the heap)? Alright, here's our quick argument on its behalf: it's rock solid; it's got smashing good looks; it's built to outlast anyone or anything you put on top of it.
We can build the Surfboy in a couple different ways. Since shipping a fully assembled bed is an expensive and awkward non-starter, for out-of-towners we make the frame with concealed powder-coated steel brackets and embedded hardware for quick and painless assembly. For in-towners we can usually get the queen and the full into most spaces assembled (the headboard bolts on in all applications). And if you've got big doors and no tight corners, maybe even the king. In these cases the frame is glued-up into one glorious piece. If you're local-ish, we'll check in with you after you place your order to suss out the situation.
Queen shown in natural walnut with our standard baltic birch plywood platform (if your mattress needs spaced wood slats for support or ventilation just let us know) and medium gray headboard brackets. Usually ships in about 6 weeks. Drawings show queen and king size; full size is built like the queen but for a 54" x 75" mattress. Custom sizes available, including custom length headboard brackets for extra thick or extra thin mattresses.
