Horsehead Crating Co. is starting work on a new logo and this is the model. Clovis snapped this photo of Dexter’s nasty mitts flashing the DB sign. Darnell wants to make it the basis for our first legit ad campaign. Furniture made by hand, customers flashing the sign, local suppliers and fabricators flashing the sign, made here, by us, etc. Maybe.

ONE ROGUE BENCH SETTLES DOWN, THE OTHER STILL M.I.A.
One of the two rogue Roadrunner benches we planted in front of the DAM and the MCA Denver back in the day has settled down for permanent rest in the reading park in Lowery. Its look has changed but aside from the lameness of the surrounding architecture, it ended up in a nice spot. That was the bench we dropped on the MCA. As for the DAM bench, we still have no idea where it landed. The bench in front of the old 400 spot on Bannock made the move over to the new spot on Platte Street in Denver, minus (at least for now) the fetching knit sleeve the Twins from the Ladies Fancywork Society tagged it with.

HORSEHEAD CRATING COMPANY
A guy in the neighborhood told us about a crating company that's fast, expert and affordable but "mildly creepy"—Horsehead Crating Co. So we checked it out. Two brothers, we think, Darnell and Clovis (their last name or names may be Tillman, but they were vague on that). Darnell is the hairier of the two boys, in case you meet them. Here are a couple shots of their work—very tight, on time and on budget. The boys are hired.
